Erie Playhouse

Performance: Dungarvan Dramatic Club on Tour Genre: Play Series: Special Event Location: Theatre

The members of the Dungarvan Dramatic Club from Dungarvan, Ireland - Erie's "sister city" will present two plays at the Playhouse during their stay in Erie April 2-10.

Strange are the Ways of Pegasus is a play conceived and directed by Margaret Dennehy and includes many of the poems of Francis Ledwidge, as well as details of his life story. It is 30 minutes.

The second offering, Faint Voices, by John McKenna and directed by Margaret Dennehy, is a dramatization of Francis Ledwidge's relationship with Ellie Vaughey and the end of his life during World War I. It is 45 minutes long.

The cast includes: Dave Pollock, Siobhan Buckley, Paul McGabhainn, Ann Kavanagh, Padraigin Ni Chadhla, Pat Power, Ruaidhri d Paor and Orla Glascott

Both plays will be performed each evening at 7:30pm.

Following the performance on April 7 there will be a cast party at the Erie Playhouse. All those in attendance that night are invited to stay. There will be light snacks and a cash bar.
